Target and known limitations

Sic Semper Errata targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA for this site and for the Bellwether demo. This page states what has actually been tested and where the work is not finished.

What has been tested

  • Keyboard-only operation of the site’s navigation, skip link, and appearance control, with visible focus.
  • Layout at 320 pixels wide and with text enlarged to 200%, without horizontal scrolling.
  • System dark and light appearance, the reduced-motion preference, and a print stylesheet.
  • One heading structure per page, named landmarks, and text alternatives for every image and inline graphic, checked by automated contract tests on every change.
  • In the demo, the Requests and Activity screens at phone, tablet, and desktop widths and with enlarged text, with controls meeting a 44-pixel target size.

Known limitations

  • Testing so far uses rendered checks and text-scaling fixtures. There has been no screen-reader certification and no testing by users of assistive technology.
  • The demo’s document review and redaction tools are under active development and have not been verified against the AA target in every interaction.
  • PDFs the demo generates, including Bates-numbered review copies and release packages, are not tagged for screen readers. Sample records inherit the accessibility of their source files.

Report a barrier

If you meet a barrier on this site or in the demo, report it to the publisher, the Jacobrakai Foundation. Describe the page, the action you were attempting, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. Confirmed barriers are recorded in the errata and fixed in a numbered release.
