Corrections to the record

The record should show what changed, when it changed, why it changed, and whether the change affects anyone who relied on the earlier version. These notices do that work.

Every notice identifies the defect, the correction, the affected versions, the authority for the change, and any action a user should take. Substantive corrections create a new version. Typographical corrections still enter the ledger. Nothing is silently overwritten.

Severity

Clerical

Typography or presentation; meaning and output unaffected.

Instructional

A guide or page was incomplete, unclear, or wrong.

Output

Generated letters, release packages, exports, or their formatting may be affected.

Authority

A statute, rule, deadline basis, or jurisdictional source relied on by the software or these pages was wrong or stale.

Critical

May affect a deadline, an exemption or redaction determination, or a release decision.

Current notices

No notices of errata have been published. The first erratum is the name itself: “Thus always to paperwork” is not a faithful translation of sic semper errata. That is a deliberate error and the only one we intend to keep.

Submit a correction

If you find an error on a page, in a user guide, or in the demo’s behaviour, report it to the publisher, the Jacobrakai Foundation. Include the page or screen, the specific defect, and the source that establishes the correct information. We will investigate, classify, and publish a notice or explain why no correction is warranted.
