Start with a sample request
A five-minute tour of the demo, from a prepared request to its review history.
Use the prepared request to see how SSE works before entering anything yourself. Bellwether is the name of SSE’s demonstration application.
Open the prepared request
Open the demo and select Open sample request in its banner. The request already has reviewed intake, a configured clock, two requested items, and two collected records.
Its reference looks like OPRA-2026-0001. The overview brings together the original request, department routing, and deadlines.
See the collected records
Select Review records and respond. The workspace has four tabs: Records, Review, Response, and History. Under Records, compare the requested items with the sample purchase order and meeting minutes.
Try one review decision
Open Review and inspect the sample minutes with Open original. Choose Make a decision, select Release in full, and enter “Practice review of the synthetic minutes” as the reason. Select Save record decision, then Inspect release copy.
The original stays separate from the copy approved for release. The review guide explains PDF redactions and other decisions.
See what a response still needs
Open Response. Each requested item needs an outcome and explanation. The other record still needs review. A letter, fee decision where applicable, and package approval must also be completed before a release package can be created.
The page tells you what remains. This tour does not require you to complete or deliver the request.
Find the decision in the history
Open History to inspect the request’s recorded actions. The main Activity link shows changes across requests; filter to Records & responses or search the request reference.
To start over, select Reset demo, then Reset my sample work. This replaces only your temporary workspace.
